Okay, so how about a simple question: How can organic chemistry be harder than taking classes, when you take more work out of it by having to take an examination? Yes, taking the time to prepare, for those questions are answered in this article!
Now, consider the structure of the regular education program, from beginning to end. You get to class and get educated, and you go home and use what you learned.
Then, as a graduate student, you go to school and get your degree, and then you go to college and take a lot of science courses and leave some of your time for writing projects. Your grades will be better, because of the extra time that you had at college. And, of course, when you’re ready to take the tests, you have to go to your college to take the test, and then go to the testing center to take the test.
This is what you get out of organic chemistry: four years of four separate parts of learning. You could do a good job getting all four courses done in four years, but it would be a lot more fun if you could do each one at the same time.

But how is this possible, if organic chemistry is so much simpler than taking the actual classes? The answer is that a university offers an extension of the regular education program, called a “continuing education program” (CEP).
These extend “to four or five more years”, sometimes even as long as ten years. “That’s right,” say universities and colleges, “we’ll take care of all your post-graduate education needs, as well as your coursework, so you don’t have to!”

Now, the continuing education plan will cost you a lot more than the cost of your organic chemistry course, which makes it a no-brainer. So, for your next five years, you can go to your university and get one of theses done every year, if you choose.
