Make sure you are able to afford the book before you take it to school. Then when you get home, you can take a look at it and figure out what section you need to read.
Make sure you understand the material before you start reading. You may want to have a friend who has a high grade on organic chemistry exams to help you.
Every study guide that is out there for organic chemistry should be used by every student taking the exam. They should be reviewed every semester and taken with you in mind.
Make sure that you don’t leave any questions out that can be answered. Use the answers and study guides for every question on every page of the book.
Make sure that you are able to refer back to the book at least once a week. I don’t know of any substitute for studying.
After you get through the organic chemistry exam, review the material and try to memorize it. Most students who took the exam did not memorize it correctly.
