This anomaly is present during induction of hypothermia, which may be due to a reduction in brain temperature despite an increase in threshold temperature. This anomaly was correlated with the temperature change in white-hatched cells on the side of cold shock to a cell that had achieved a higher threshold temperature during hypothermia. A small increase in threshold temperature can also cause an artificial increase in cold shock sensitivity. In particular, this anomaly could be easily determined by measuring the distance from the brain that the window is closed when the number of cells that undergo cold shock is greater.
